Wondering. What do most people think when they read the term "British Philosophy"? Do you think of any philosophers who are/were British? Or do you think of it more as a genre?

I immediately thought Empiricists: Locke, Berkeley, Hume. Then was surprised to see the list on the tribe. They are British, but do they represent British Philosophy?

Curious.

  • James,

I would certainly think that Locke, Berkeley and Hume are British philosophers. I was simply lazy, and didn't paste their photos into the photos section.
